Annual global mobile data traffic will grow to 3.6 exabytes per month by 2014, an annual run rate of 40 exabytes, according to networking giant Cisco Systems' Visual Networking Index Global Mobile Data Forecast. The anticipated increase translates to a 39-fold mobile data traffic increase from 2009 to 2014, or a compound annual growth rate of 108 percent. Cisco credits the growth to the proliferation of mobile-ready devices, anticipating the number of personal devices connecting to mobile networks will increase to 5 billion by 2014.
The telecommunications sector is clearly in an upward trend. The adoption of new technology is gathering pace, new technology spends will continue even in the face of a emerging post recessionary market where the justification for investment is evident.
The economic downturn means a more competitive marketplace in which stronger players will consolidate and generate increasingly-creative service offerings that will almost inevitably involve the delivery of new content.
NP Groups expertise is split into distinctive technology sectors:

We have delivered Cisco Networking Consultants to some of the worlds most prestigious partners, including finance houses and ISPs.
np groups OSS division has partnered many organisations in markets where identifying the required skills is crucial. Its OSS team has worked with many OSS consultancies and resellers to strengthen their delivery capabilities. This enables go-to-market strategies and strong vendor partnerships. Np group has placed consultants whose niche skills are within EMC SMARTS, Infovista, Micromuse, Netcool, Quallaby Proviso and Concord Arena.
np groups BSS division has a truly global network within Telecoms Billing, having supported some of the worlds leading vendors, operators and integrators with expertise covering BSCS, Oracle BRM, Amdocs, Kenan Arbor, SingleView and Infinys.
So far, unified communications infrastructure has made a limited impact in the enterprise, however, global spend is forecast to rise to approximately $1 billion by 2013. This growth will be fuelled by a number of factors as organisations continue to streamline and create competitive edge, but will be underpinned by the skilled people that conceive, architect, design and implement solutions.
np groups UC division works on an international basis with vendors, channel partners (systems integrators, professional services and consultancies), end-users (telecoms and internet service providers), and enterprise end-users.
